I'm not certain when "Knob Lake Protestant School" first opened its doors for students. I do know that 1960-1961 was the first year a "yearbook" was produced (under Miss Benoit's patient tutelage). I first attended Grade X during the 1959-1960 school year. My classmates were James "Jim" Pringle, Whitfield "Whit" Kean and Eva Major-Marothy. We shared the classroom with Grade XI -- comprised of one student: Marion Johnston. If anyone out there has photos of Jim, Whit or Marion that they'd be willing to share then please email me with details ... (Eva's is in the 1960-61 yearbook). PDF format copies of the 1960-61 and 1961-62 yearbooks are linked below (they contain the complete version which includes messages, event reports, essays and poems). For those without high speed connections I've posted JPEG copies of "people" related pages I would also love to have
additional photos
of the town and mines (see photos in the last section below)
